There are so many different kinds of mollusks everywhere! All different colors, species, and shapes! What are some examples of these bright creatures?
Gastropods
Ramshorn Snail: Many people think that this animal is a pest. These snails eat a lot of plants including ones that gardeners would plant. The colors that this snail comes in is blue pink and many more.
Leopard Slug: The Leopard Slug can grow up to four inches tall. This animal has four tentacles. Many of these animals like shdy places for example under a rock or tree.
Bivalves
Soft Shell Clam: The Soft Shell clam can burrow anywhere from 8-14 inches in the mud. There are usually 10 million pounds of this clam per year because some people eat this clam specifically.
Belon Oyester: Belon Oyesters are about 4-8 inches long. The huge one of these animals is 8 inches and a fairly medium size is 4 inches. They are caught on islands on the Maine coast.
Cephalopods
Giant Squid: Giant squid can have eyeballs up to the size of a beach ball. The largest squid on record was 59 feet in length and weighed about a ton or 2000 pounds. They can come in so many different colors. Brown, purple, pink, etc. They have the incredible ability to camouflage.
